Claire is a photo app that uses AI to create a new candid photo of you from a single selfie: the kind of natural, unposed snapshot a friend might take on their phone. It aims for an everyday look rather than a studio shoot, with natural light and no colour filter. It does not edit your selfie; it generates a new photo of the same person.
To use the Claire web app, please turn on JavaScript in your browser. Claire is also available as an iOS and Android app.
Making 3, 6 or 12 photos at once needs credits. Nothing is charged if generation fails or no face is found, and if only part of a batch is made you pay in proportion to the photos you get.
What is Claire?
Claire is an app that uses AI to create a new candid photo of you from one selfie. Pick a time of day, place, situation and outfit, and you get a natural, everyday snapshot that looks like a friend took it on their phone. It does not edit the photo you upload.
Is Claire free?
Yes. While you have no credits, you can sign in and make one free photo a day. Free photos are made one at a time with an automatic outfit and carry a small watermark. While you have credits, every photo uses a credit, even a single one; once your credits run out, the free daily photo applies again. Making several photos at once, choosing an outfit style and uploading outfit photos need credits.
How much does it cost?
Credit packs start at $2.99 and are one-time purchases, so no subscription is required. 1 photo uses 1 credit, 3 photos use 3, 6 photos use 5 and 12 photos use 9. You can buy credits only in the iOS and Android apps, and the price shown in the store applies.
Where is my selfie stored?
Your selfie is sent to Google LLC's Gemini API only to create your photo, and it is not stored on Claire's servers. Your results stay in the in-app gallery for 1 hour, so save the ones you like to your device.
How many photos can I make at once?
You can choose 1, 3, 6 or 12 photos. When you make several, each photo gets a different framing. Runs of 3 or more need credits.
Am I charged if generation fails?
No. If generation fails or no face is found in your photo, no credit or free photo is used. If only some photos in a batch are made, you are charged in proportion to the photos you get.
Do I need an account?
Yes, you need to sign in (Apple, Google or email) to make photos. You can pick your selfie and options first, then sign in when you tap Generate and Claire continues from there.
